Classic Ivory Wedding Cake With Red Roses
“Frankly, we probably prefer a dynamite chocolate chip cookie over any kind of cake,” Gautam says. “At the same time, we wanted traditionalists to have some respite.” With this in mind, they chose two wedding cake flavors. Working with the team at Very Special Desserts, Katy and Gautam filled the classic ivory buttercream confection with chocolate cake and carrot cake, between layers of chocolate chip cookie dough and cream cheese frosting. Those who wanted more literal chocolate chip cookies were treated to a Pittsburgh tradition: a cookie table.
