The Bride Wore an Emerald Green Velvet Blazer for This Classic Fall Elopement in New York's Central Park
Since fall is their favorite season, Felicia and Nicolas decided to elope in New York City and said “I do” with the fall foliage of Central Park acting as a picturesque backdrop to the nuptials. The couple exchanged vows on the shore of The Lake before taking a stroll around the city to capture wedding-day portraits in some of their favorite spots, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art. To complement the fall foliage that set the scene for the couple’s elopement, Felicia carried an autumnal bouquet with flowers in warm shades of brown, yellow and green—the clutch was comprised of a mix of brownie tulips, cappuccino roses, champagne butterfly ranunculus, autumnal eucalyptus, smokebush, and a stem of white orchid. Further adding to the elegant fall vine, Felicia even chose to wear an emerald green velvet blazer as part of her wedding-day attire. "We chose Wagner Cove in Central Park as a ceremony location as we wanted something beautiful, intimate and scenic," says Felicia. "Thankfully we had the beautiful, natural fall backdrop of Central Park and the weather held up so we didn't really need to do anything extra to decorate our ceremony space. Our favorite part of the wedding was actually right after the ceremony. We strolled from Wagner Cove to Ladies Pavilion, enjoying a bright and sunny fall afternoon in Central Park with a few close friends. It felt like walking on clouds."
