Classic Blue-and-White Chinoiserie Inspired This Wedding at Knotting Hill Place in Little Elm, Texas
Brittany and Rich tied the knot with a classic-meets-luxury wedding at Knotting Hill Place in Little Elm, Texas. The couple filled the wedding celebration with a blue-and-white color palette inspired by traditional Chinoiserie pottery. "I was going for a modern glam romantic theme. My main colors were white, ice blue and smoky blue," says Brittany of the inspiration for her Texas wedding.
For the ceremony to start the day, Brittany and Rich "decorated the minimal chapel with statement florals on either side of the floor-to-ceiling windows at the front of the chapel and lined the aisle with blue hydrangeas and greenery." Following their vow exchange, the couple and their guests decamped to the ballroom space of Knotting Hill Place for the seated reception. To decorate the space, the couple "used family Chinoiserie blue and white vases and pitchers for the florals. We used simple white china with a dark blue napkin and added lots of votives and floating candles to each table. The head table ran in front of the dance floor where we sat with our wedding party," recalls Brittany. While both the ceremony and reception were beautiful, Brittany's favorite part of the wedding day actually took place before both of those events. "My favorite part of the wedding day was my first look with the groom," shares Brittany. "The anticipation and excitement were amazing!" From the first look through the end of the night with their grand exit, Brittany and Rich's entire blue-and-white wedding was a sophisticated affair to remember.
