“We were fortunate enough to have the reception at the North Carolina Executive Mansion in Raleigh, North Carolina,” Emery says. (Chris’ uncle is Governor Pat McCrory.) Although the couple never really envisioned a winter wedding, it’s what Emery’s school calendar allowed, and they loved the Christmas lights everywhere.
