For Christine Tomasello, living in San Francisco and planning her Pennsylvania wedding was no easy feat. She and her groom, Darcy Cottrell, decided on the Philadelphia suburbs where they grew up for sentimental reasons -- it's also where they met at a mutual friend's New Year's Eve party in 1996. The Wedding Party Looks
After Darcy proposed on the rooftop of their San Francisco apartment building in October, preparations for a fall bash began. Christine and Darcy exchanged vows roughly one year later at an old stone church in Wayne. To complement the traditional setting, ivory and green accents were strewn throughout: ivy wreaths adorned the white doors, and hurricane candles wrapped in ivy with white bows graced the windowsills.
The First Dance
Christine walked down the deep-red carpeted aisle in a Richard Glasgow strapless ivory silk gown accented by an antique brooch she nabbed at a San Francisco flea market.
The church, set in the rolling green hills of the Pennsylvania countryside, was a short drive from the reception at the Merion Golf Club. Stretch limos whisked away the bridal party, while Christine and Darcy rode off in a vintage Rolls-Royce.
