One and a half years later, the couple tied the knot in a holiday-style celebration in her hometown. Christin was at Hank Aaron Stadium in Mobile, where she grew up, to perform (for the umpteenth time) the Star Spangled Banner. Suddenly she found herself batting her eyes like a young schoolgirl with a crush. But what she didn't know was that the pitcher whose eye she kept catching was the same guy her friend suggested she meet a week before. She had mentioned this guy that had been coming to her church, Christin explains. So that night when a stadium worker approached Christin and said a particular player was interested in a date, she responded, The only player I would be interesting in meeting is the 'church boy.' Lucky for her, Michael, whose license plate reads I Play 4 The Almighty, was that guy.
