Cheerful DIY Brunch Wedding at SqWires in St. Louis, Missouri
rn The reason behind Keri Walton (28 and a social worker) and Eric Koehler's (27 and an engineer) decision to have a brunch wedding is simple: It's their favorite meal. "Savory and sweet—yes, please," Keri says. From the newspaper programs and the Bloody Mary bar to the homemade jam favors, lots of detail went into the morning theme. "We even had crossword puzzles for the guests on tables during the reception," Keri says. Looking for something different from the traditional reception hall, the offbeat couple chose a restaurant in a converted wire factory called SqWires. They chose a palette of yellow and navy blue for two reasons: Yellow is Eric's favorite color, and what looks better with yellow than navy blue? Relying on the built-in beauty of their setting, Keri and Eric added personal DIY touches throughout the day—from the photo booth to the handmade paper flowers. "Eric has never really been into real flowers for bouquets," Keri says. "Benefit of these flowers: They last forever." —Meghan Overdeep
