Prior to their engagement, Cathy and Brian vacationed in Maui and witnessed a breathtaking wedding overlooking Wailea Beach. When Brian popped the question, the memory of Maui led them to plan a wedding there themselves. Unexpectedly though, Brian surprised Cathy by flying her to The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay in California, much farther than their normal weekend trips. When he insisted on a picnic, despite the cloudy, overcast weather, Cathy sensed another surprise around the corner, which occurred in the form of an oceanside proposal.
