We both went to the formal with different dates...but left together! Carolyn remembers. Don't worry; our original dates were just friends. Carolyn and Sean had their first date soon afterward at a local coffee shop. In the middle of the date, Sean got up, leaned over the table, and kissed me on the forehead, Carolyn remembers. My heart melted, as it was such a sweet and gentle way of showing his affection. The couple dated for six years, which included a considerable amount of long-distance time. After college, Carolyn moved to Austin while Sean was still in Illinois; then, after a year together, she moved back to San Antonio. Finally, a year after that, the two moved together to St. Louis (Sean's hometown), and two years later, Sean popped the question while the couple was on their annual trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I hoped we would get engaged, but Sean was so calm! Carolyn remembers. The couple wed 14 months later back in the bride's hometown.
