Soon after Carolyn Koziak and Gregory (Greg) Carlon first met at the gym, they shared a romantic dinner date at the Elm Street Oyster House in Greenwich, and it wasn’t long before they started dating. After a year and a half, however, the duo realized they were at different stages in their lives and decided to part ways. “We weren’t right for each other just yet,” Carolyn explains. Almost five years later, Carolyn and Greg reconnected and rekindled their romance. Later that night, though, Carolyn found two stuffed-animal puppies perched on her bed, and tied around one of their necks was an engagement ring. “Greg had to literally put it in my face and show me because I didn’t even notice the ring,” Carolyn says. Nine months after Greg’s surprise proposal and Carolyn’s teary acceptance, the couple celebrated their union at a New Canaan mansion.
