Caroline Pythian and Nate Sence playfully say they met on the love train. Each took the same subway train to work, and admired one another from afar until finally sitting next to each other one morning. They began a casual morning rapport, and began dating a few weeks later. Just six months after their first date, Nate proposed on the Brooklyn Bridge. The architectural wonder appeared on the favors at their wedding, which took place at a historic church in Caroline's Brooklyn Park neighborhood. Caroline's father was once a designer of men's suits, so he chose Nate's three-piece suit from an Italian designer's showroom. The light blue satin vests and ties worn by the groomsmen were rented from Men's Wearhouse.
Caroline and Nate had a four-tier square wedding cake, which was smothered in Swiss meringue buttercream.
The Couple
Caroline and Nate created a wedding CD with Nate's sketch of the Brooklyn Bridge on the cover. Guests were also given fans during the outdoor ceremony.
The Accessories
Blue hydrangeas, white roses, and fragrant lily of the valley could be found in Caroline's bouquet.
