Bright Orange and Yellow Filled This Wedding at Woods Edge Llama Farm in Stockton, New Jersey

When it came time to tie the knot, Victoria and Avinash planned a rustic and whimsical wedding steeped in tradition as a way to honor their backgrounds. “It was important to us that we blend our two families and two cultures into one celebration,” the pair says. To do so, they incorporated both Western and Indian attire, Christian and Hindu ceremony touchpoints and a reception of Western and Indian cuisine to embrace their new union. 

For their reception, Victoria changed into a traditional Indian lehenga (the fabric matched Avinash's sherwani jacket from the ceremony), and Avinash rocked a navy suit paired with a yellow tie.  For their first dance, the pair chose a cover of “Summertime Clothes” by Animal Collective, the song that Avinash played for Victoria the summer before they started dating. The llama-inspired decor was a cheeky nod to the venue's on-site llama and alpaca farm in the form of centerpieces, which doubled as favors. Plus, the night ended with an indulgent chocolate-on-chocolate cake topped with  DIY llama cutouts. To help cope with the stress of planning, Victoria and Avinash stuck to the mantra, “No matter what happens, we’ll be married.”
