"Bridgerton" and "Cinderella" Inspired This Wedding at The Lace House in South Carolina

For many, their hashtag is one of the last things they decide on during wedding planning. But given their careers in marketing, it’s no surprise that that wasn’t the case for Aryanna Harrell (30 and works in social media marketing) and Douglas (Doug) Morgan (32 and works in sports marketing). The duo came up with #MagicallyMorgan at the onset and let their fairy-tale theme flow from there. Aryanna’s princess-like dress further informed the aesthetic, so much so that she revamped the event’s blue-and-pink palette to give it more of a Bridgerton-meets-Cinderella vibe after saying yes to the dress. Beyond designing a magical wedding, the couple also kept their vision for a happily ever after at the core of their planning. “We went on frequent walks and always reminded each other of what was really important.”

Champagne was a big part of the couple's wedding. The good times began the minute guests arrived—attendees received flutes of champagne as they were seated. “My love language is wine, so everyone left with a custom glitter bottle of sparkling wine as a wedding favor,” says Aryanna. 

To complement the lush garden venue, Aryanna and Doug included roses, delphinium, lisianthus, peonies, baby’s breath, anthurium and orchids in their floral arrangements. The couple brought their own spin to the ceremony decor. Instead of a rounded arch they opted for a wavy design. And in keeping with the asymmetry, the gold chairs were swathed in pink fabric in lieu of traditional covers.  Aryanna took on designing the wedding stationery herself, including the couple’s monogrammed crest. Meanwhile, she tapped one of her bridesmaid’s sisters to deck out a custom denim jacket for her.

For the wedding reception, Aryanna and Doug seated all their guests at one big oblong table. “We’re both big on equality and inclusiveness, and since our group was small, we wanted to create a unifying environment where no one felt more or less important due to their seat,” explains Doug of the unique seating arrangement. "It was important for us to share this moment together with our loved ones. There was no 'good table.' We were all equal and could look each other square in the eyes," says Doug.
