“I wanted a dress that only a bride could wear, so I went for a handmade, cinched-waist, full-skirt ball gown with 100 percent silk,” McKenzie says of her dress, which she found at Molle Bridals in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. “The delicate crystal straps had pearls beaded, which reminded me of both mermaids and my sorority. And, just by luck, it had pockets for my handwritten vows.”
