Jordyn Forsythe (24 and a baker) wed Kyle Ashmore (25 and a banker) in a chic, modern outdoor ceremony at Prospect House in southern Texas. “Nature was a huge inspiration for our overall look,” Jordyn says. “We both loved the idea of lots of greenery and florals. We chose bright colors such as canary yellow, hot magenta and tangerine orange along with deep green foliage.”
After they said their vows under a contemporary, clean-lined altar, the newlyweds and their 150 guests migrate to the property’s crisp white reception hall, which was decorated with a lush hanging garland, banana leaf centerpieces and handcrafted canvas signs. Revelers danced, lounged on vintage furniture and sipped drinks from specially made wine glasses and beer cups—which doubled as wedding favors. For dessert, a selection of donuts and pies were brought in from Bougie's Donuts and Tiny Pies and served with coffee. “Be ever so thankful for your families—this is a big day for them too,” Jordyn says. “It's not every day that you're able to get all of the ones you know and love in one place at the same time. So, cherish this day.” —Carolyn Meers

Jordyn and her bridesmaids donned floral-print cover-ups.
Jordyn's slightly undone side braid was interspersed with tiny white blossoms, a look that mirrored her bohemian style for the day. "I chose a white lace BHLDN, form fitting, high-neck gown the whole ceremony and reception," Jordyn says. "Very romantic and ethereal."
Petal Pushers created Jordyn's colorful, tropical-inspired bouquet, which included all of the day's colors—canary yellow, orange, pink and deep forest green.
In keeping with the day's casual Kyle donned a dark green suit, navy bow tie, and brown shoes
The minimalistic décor of the outdoor ceremony brought attention to the property's expansive views.
Jordyn and Kyle shared their first kiss under a sleek, contemporary white wedding arch adorned with an orange and pink corner floral arrangement.
At the on-site reception hall, florist Petal Pushers crafted a hanging green garland to add an organic element to the sleek, modern space.
At the indoor reception, dessert included donuts and pies from Bougie's Donuts and Tiny Pies.
Pieces of vintage furniture were arranged throughout the indoor reception space, adding a soft contrast to the hall's contemporary aesthetic.
"Dessert included a selection of donuts and pies, which were provided by Bougie's Donuts and Tiny Pies," says Jordyn. "All so very good. We only wish we could have eaten more!"
"We ran out and danced to 'Give it to Me Baby' by Rick James," Jordyn says. "Totally spontaneous—not coordinated. It was so much fun, and our DJ, Floyd with Hill Country DJ's, said it was the most lively entrance he had ever seen!"
“Be ever so thankful for your families. This is a big day for them too,” Jordyn says. “It's not every day that you're able to get all of the ones you know and love in one place at the same time. So, cherish this day.”
