A Boho Rocky Mountain Wedding at Town Ranch in Crested Butte, Colorado
A love of adventure is what brought Meredith and Wayne together. “I saw his online dating profile was full of crazy pictures and I asked him if he had gone on any adventures that week,” Meredith says. “He sent me quite a long list.” After a mountainside proposal—followed by chambongs in Buena Vista—the pair planned a wedding full of adventurous, bohemian details, including Southwest prints, pops of turquoise and mountain views.
Meredith carried a neutral mix of roses, orchids, pampas grass and scabiosa. “I really wanted a natural, boho look,” she says.
After the ceremony, Meredith, Wayne and their guests headed to a cocktail hour jam-packed with yard games, a VW van turned photo booth and a mobile bar under string lights. “It felt like a fun backyard party with all of our best friends, but under the setting sun in beautiful Mount Crested Butte,” Meredith says. Between dances, partygoers kicked back in a chill lounge area complete with Southwest-patterned throw pillows and a leather couch.
A very special celeb chef prepped the food for the buffet-style dinner: Meredith’s cousin Will. Guests ate eloté grilled corn, loaded Lowcountry grits and roasted chicken. “You could feel the love and soul he put into the food,” Meredith says. “And it was also fun to sneak back to the kitchen for a shot of whiskey with my rad older cousin.” Fittingly enough, daredevils Meredith and Wayne asked guests to sign skis as a mountain-ready guest book.
