Black-and-White Touches Filled This Urban Wedding at SKYLIGHT in Denver, Colorado
Denver natives Angela and Esteban have their own vibe—and their wedding exemplified it seamlessly. “We found inspiration in our personal style as a couple,” Angela says. “We wanted an art gallery feel with handcrafted details.” The couple banded together their groomsmen on the day of to fill the blank slate of SKYLIGHT with black details, poster-size black-and-white photos and even their favorite candles from Anthropologie. “My favorite part was seeing the final setup of the venue,” Esteban says. Roses, thistle, cosmos and eucalyptus filled black- and-white patterned pots, which inspired much of the day’s design. “We loved them so much, we knew we had to have them as our centerpieces,” Angela says.
Esteban topped his suit with a custom white buffalo turquoise bolo tie from Santa Fe, New Mexico. Angela finished her romantic lace gown with a pair of edgy leather Louboutins.
Angela and her besties turned gown shopping into a full-on shindig. “My bridesmaids ordered a ton of styles, and then we had a try-on party at my house,” she says. “It was so fun.”
Guests signed a vinyl record of Leon Bridges’s “Coming Home,” the pair’s first dance. “Esteban is a musician, so it was special,” Angela says.
