Bees and Flowers Inspired This Wedding at The Barn of Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, North Carolina

Holly and Chris brought a little springtime to their fall wedding at The Barn of Chapel Hill. The pair took design inspiration from the farm’s colorful wildflowers and the honeybees buzzing around the grounds. “I really wanted to use my sense of creativity to make our wedding personal and keep the atmosphere charming,” Holly says. “I treated the wedding like an art project.” Holly designed the floral invitations, complete with bee illustrations, and filled each envelope with dried flowers. At the reception, guests signed flower and bee magnets and stuck them onto a chalkboard-style guest book.“We kept our theme bright and charming,” Holly says. “Getting married at a bee and flower farm really inspired our design.” Pink flowers and cozy linens softened the barn’s neutral woods and natural textures. Holly and Chris also added splashes of red, which represents prosperity in Chinese culture. The couple cut into a vanilla cake with strawberry mousse and buttercream, topped with their names in rose gold calligraphy.
