Out one evening with friends, Becca recognized Doug from her gym. She already knew she liked his physique: “He was the guy who never missed a workout,” she says. And after a few minutes of conversation, she realized he was her type personality-wise too -- his sharp sense of humor kept Becca laughing. The Bride Becca Carlberg, 30, chiropractor The Groom Doug Jackson, 33, mutual funds wholesaler The Date September 16th After a month of getting to know each other, they had a dinner date, and the rest is history. Two years later, after opening birthday presents, Doug asked Becca what had been her favorite gift ever. She told him it was her Schwinn 10-speed bike. “He responded that having me become part of his life was the greatest blessing and gift in his life; then he asked me to become his wife,” Becca says. “I, of course, was thrilled!”

Becca and Doug stood beneath a fall-hued arch during the ceremony. “The fall colors were incredible,” Becca says. The day was a little overcast and drizzly, but everything cleared up just in time for the ceremony.
The tables were topped with white linens and burlap table runners and punctuated with candlelit lanterns. Red and green apples at the place settings denoted guests’ dinner choices. Sprigs of greenery with natural berries were tucked into each napkin for an added splash of color.
