Soon, she and the guy -- Brandon Makowski -- discovered they actually had a few classes together and became study partners. Because Brandon thought Becca had a boyfriend, he never asked her out. Finally, after a month or so of waiting, Becca asked Brandon on a date. Years later, when Brandon was visiting Becca at graduate school, he surprised her with a hot-air balloon ride, where he proposed above the Rocky Mountains.
