A Simple Barn Wedding at Sycamore Creek Family Ranch in Branson, Missouri

It only took Caylin and Weston five months to pull off their wedding. “We ended up choosing Branson because it’s where we met, fell in love and planned to settle down,” Caylin says. The pair found each other while working at Kanakuk Kamps and called on connections from that close-knit community when planning their celebration—from the stationer they hired to the place where they wed. After a Christian ceremony in front of a large sycamore tree, guests took part in a seated dinner, dancing, fruit pizza and late-night ice cream. “The word for our wedding was ‘purposeful,’ ” Caylin says of their personalized party. “We didn’t do anything ‘just because.’” Caylin carried peonies, dahlias, roses, silver dollar eucalyptus and ranunculus wrapped with blush ribbon. A mix of uncovered wood farm tables, round tables covered in dove-gray linens and tables topped with greenery runners complemented Sycamore Creek’s natural atmosphere. The newlyweds opened the dance floor to Earth, Wind & Fire’s “September” in honor of the month they became a couple.
