Following an outdoor ceremony at a historic home, Roand and Annie partied with their friends and family at a unique reception location: a nightclub. The Bride Annie Born, 29 The Groom Roland Pott, 33 The Date June 18 Annie used some Internet ingenuity to make sure Roland didn’t become the great guy who got away. After briefly meeting through mutual friends, Annie and Roland spotted each other again six months later at Conduit, a club that Roland owns in Trenton (both are currently nightclub operators and real estate developers). Roland and Annie had a great time talking that night, but after Annie left with a friend without getting a chance to say goodbye or get his number, she knew she needed a way to get in touch. “Then, I thought of the answer,” Annie says, “I would email him directly from the club’s website!” Roland responded, and the two met again the next night to continue their conversation. The pair spent their first date enjoying the fall foliage on a bike ride along the Delaware River, and a year later Roland picked out the perfect ring for his proposal. With her father’s blessing, Roland surprised Annie by asking for her hand in marriage.
