Deciding on a wedding location was no easy feat for super creative duo Anne and Michael. The couple, who lives in New Jersey, has family all over the world. However, a decision was made, after an amazing trip to visit Anne's mom who lives on the Amalfi coast. The beautiful coastal city immediately won the couple's hearts, and Anne and Michael soon began planning a chic Italian soiree with the help of Anne's mother and sister. With the help of an Italian wedding consultant, Anne and Michael navigated through a sea of paperwork before securing their dazzling destination. Soon, all the other details began falling into place.

The palazzo, which also has its own vineyard, was decorated with glass vases etched with the couple's initials and filled with polished black stones, twisted bamboo, red roses, and spear grass. The vases were surrounded by individual tea lights in porcelain and custom-made confetti that featured the wedding date, photos of the couple, and their initials.

After arriving in Italy and climbing 64 steps from the piazza to the cathedral's main entrance, guests were dazzled by the church’s Arabic style, interlaced arches, and bronze-cast doors. The couple’s ceremony was in both Italian and English and they incorporated the Italian tradition of kissing their rings before exchanging them. Anne and Michael were showered with deep red rose petals as they left the church to All You Need Is Love by The Beatles.
