Sometimes mother does know best -- at least she did in the case of Anna Nelson, 32, and Brian Hogan, 36. Anna was working at an advertising agency and doing marketing for HRP LanDesign, Brian’s family business. After several meetings, Judy Hogan (the aforementioned mom) thought that Anna and her son would hit it off. Brian was undefeated until Anna arrived -- after that he lost every single game. After that there were few distractions for the new couple until Anna was caught off guard while hosting a birthday dinner for Brian. When the birthday boy finished opening his gifts, he stood up and exclaimed that the only gift he hadn’t received was for Anna to be his wife!
