A long dinner and lots of laughter that night led to many more dates, and nine months later Michael proposed during a romantic lakeside picnic. Anissa's six bridesmaids wore strapless trumpet-style Lazaro dresses in a beautiful soft gold to match the gold beadwork in Anissa's wedding gown.
We love chocolate! says Anissa, and it's a good thing too. Cheryl Tarolli baked a beautiful and delicious three-tier chocolate double-udge cake decorated with sugar-glazed cookies and lemon leaves. She also created an eggless double-fudge chocolate groom’s cake in the shape of a tuxedo.
The tables were set with ivory linens with candles and simple yet beautiful flower arrangements on each table. Michael and Anissa sat at a round sweetheart table, We just wanted to make our dining experience as romantic as possible, the bride says.
The couple danced their first dance to It Had to Be You. We heard this song at James Street Tavern by Five Guys Named Moe when we were celebrating my birthday. So we knew this is what our song would be, the bride says.
The couple chose calla lilies, the bride's favorite bloom, ivory roses.
