The first time Craig and Andrea laid eyes on each other was outside the bookstore on the College of St. Scholastica campus, where he was a senior and she a freshman. “I thought, ‘I can’t believe he checked me out like that,’” Andrea says. But the subject soon got more interesting when, two minutes before class started, the “hot bookstore guy” walked in and sat right behind her. “I have a lifelong rule of always sitting right next to the best-looking girl in class,” Craig says. An avid golfer, as soon as Craig spotted Andrea’s Titleist golf backpack, he struck up a conversation. A relationship ensued and a year-and-a-half later, Craig proposed on bended knee during a surprise trip to Chicago.

Andrea and Craig’s four-tiered hexagon-shaped cake was covered with pearl-beaded frosting and black ribbon. The inside was just as delectable -- it was white cake with raspberry filling and chocolate cake with Baileys filling.
“I wanted the flowers and centerpieces to be simple and beautiful,” Andrea says. She achieved the look with fresh white lily centerpieces for the tables.
Andrea’s bouquet was a fragrant cluster of fresh white lilies.
Andrea and Craig’s black-and-white programs were tied off with a black-and-white, polka-dotted ribbon.
After the ceremony, guests made their way to the upstairs rotunda in The Carlson Towers Amphitheatre.
The couple kept the black-and-white theme with their escort cards and used a slightly informal typeface to set the tone for their daytime wedding.
