This classic wedding encompassed a love for travel (specifically flying) through details both large and small -- from the paper-airplane ceremony programs and seating charts to the old aviation maps used as table numbers, with the occasional metal airplane and globe decorations. Cassie Liberatore (33 and a pilot) and Byron Mastriana (31 and a pilot) met while they worked at the same airline, which makes it only natural to have air travel incorporated into their wedding day theme. The wedding took place at The Lake Club in Poland, Ohio, with the perfect lawn for an outdoor ceremony and a clubhouse reception with wall-to-wall windows, revealing the gorgeous surrounding views of the lake. The black, white and charcoal-gray color palette was accented by bright fall colors found in the flower arrangements of hydrangeas and lilies mixed with hypericum berries and fall foliage, assembled by Sweet Arrangements and captured by Menning Photographic. What really caught our attention was the airplane propeller that guests signed instead of a traditional book, reflecting the love for their professions that brought them together. “We carried our vintage aviation theme throughout the entire wedding with small touches, such as the wooden airplane propeller as our guest book,” the couple say. “The wedding day encompassed our love for travel and flying.”

Round-Cut Diamond and Silver Rings
The couple described their wedding invitations having a "whimsical airplane theme." The white stationery was bordered with black and had a swirled design depicting an airplane flying. This followed the aviation theme the couple wanted for their wedding day, not only because of their professions, but also because they met while working at the same airline.
Cassie wore an ivory wedding dress with a sweetheart illusion neckline that was accented with lace. The wedding dress hung from the chandelier, revealing the long train in the back. A keyhole design was displayed on the back of the dress, which had buttons going all the way down the chapel-length train.

The ceremony took place on the lawn of The Lake Club in Poland, Ohio, which revealed a gorgeous backdrop of the lake. White chairs were lined up in rows that faced the ceremonial altar, where Cassie and Byron were married in front of family and friends.
Cassie and Byron had their ceremony outside at the country club, with their wedding party in charcoal gray and black that stood around them, including the ring bearer dressed in vintage attire. "The ring bearer wore a vintage-style suspender and bow-tie combo with a newsboy cap in a charcoal and black stripes," the couple say.

"The bridesmaids wore long charcoal chiffon dresses with a deep V-cut back," the couple say. "They carried stunning bouquets that were filled with hydrangeas, lilies, hypericum berries and fall foliage. They had hints of green, orange, and dark purple in the bouquets. The groomsmen wore traditional black tuxedos with gray-and-black-striped ties. The boutonnieres were hypericum berries."

Instead of a traditional guest book, guests signed a wooden airplane propeller that was displayed on a table at the reception, which was also decorated with a flag paper sign. A photo of the couple posing in front of a plane was displayed behind the guest-book arrangement.
At the reception inside The Lake Club, dining tables dressed in white and charcoal-gray linens were decorated with tall flower centerpieces. The arrangements were filled with a mix of orange tiger lilies and ivory hydrangeas, accented with hypericum berries and purple leaves.

Vintage world maps were used as a backdrop for the table numbers displayed in a black frame, following the aviation-inspired theme of the wedding. Other travel details decorated the reception, such as the paper-airplane escort cards, wooden airplane propeller guest book and the vintage trunk card box.
