An Ultra-Chic Plum Wedding at Scottish Rite Cathedral in Indianapolis, Indiana

Madison Briscoe (25 and a third grade teacher) and Andrew Quinnette’s (26 and a CPA) gorgeous wedding uses a chic color palette of plum, gold and champagne in the most stunning way. The details are simple but sophisticated such as the floral arrangements by Meg Catherine Flowers. “Our florals were a combination of flowers and greenery that were placed together to inspire a very organic feel," Madison says. "She artistically combines the flowers in a way that is influenced by nature and how you would see these flowers growing naturally.” The couple exchanged vows at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Indianapolis, Indiana, because of its gorgeous architecture, traditional feel and quiet neighborhood. “The church was designed after two basilicas in Rome by Henry J. Schlacks—it is a limestone Roman Basilica with a green tile roof, portico and a 140-foot campanile (bell tower). The interior of the church is also stunning containing a high altar made in Pisa, Italy, from marble and stained glass windows.” Their reception at the Scottish Rite Cathedral on Meridian Street in downtown Indianapolis only added to the glamorous, ultra-chic aura. “The Scottish Rite Cathedral is a Tudor period Gothic structure with gorgeous colored art glass windows, elaborate dark woodwork and ornate ceilings,” Madison says. “It has an exquisite two-story ballroom with a surrounding balcony.” Cory and Jackie Wedding Photographers perfectly capture the entire day. One of the best parts of the day was Madison and Andrew’s classic red getaway car! “One of my favorite parts of our wedding day was leaving the church in my grandpa’s 1967 Chevelle Malibu convertible,” Madison says. “The Just Married sign on the back of the car was from my aunt and uncle’s wedding. My mom surprised me with letters and drawings that my third-grade students made, which she wrapped around soup cans to attach to back of our car!”
