An Sophisticated, Natural Wedding at Greystone Hall in West Chester, Pennsylvania
Julia Callaghan (29 and a clinical social worker) and Daniel Sturm (30 and a pharmacist) were set up through mutual friends as blind dates at Julia's junior prom. Although awkward at first, they bonded over their first dance to an ACDC song. They stayed friends through high school and college until one summer when they grew to develop a romantic relationship. Daniel proposed six years later on a hike through the Santa Monica Mountains. Julia and Daniel had their ceremony at St. Agnes Catholic Church with a lavish reception at Greystone Hall, a historic mansion in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Inspired by the picturesque venue, Julia had her florist design natural-looking arrangements of greenery and succulents in birch wood boxes with wood slab table numbers. Even the place cards sat in small wood cuts, and the invitations featured the couple's monogram carved into a tree illustration. Sticking to a mostly green color palette, the bridesmaids wore long, mint green dresses, and the groomsmen matched in tan suits with mint-colored ties. Julia wore a strapless, drop waist wedding dress with a romantic, bustled skirt and matching white hair accessory. At the reception, guests could choose from a dinner of filet, salmon, or vegetarian ravioli before the bride and groom cut into their traditional, four-tier wedding cake with elegant gold trim. Instead of a photo booth, Julia and Daniel had a "selfie station" so their guests could take pictures of themselves to include in the guest book.
