A Shabby Chic Beach Wedding at Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort in Clearwater Beach, Florida
Over six years, Jennifer Jankowski (27 and a dental hygienist) and Ricky Reyes (29 and an office administrator) moved from great friends to much more and Ricky popped the question. With just over a two year engagement, the couple and Confetti Events had plenty of time to plan a vintage-inspired wedding with a neutral color palette of blush and gold. "My vision for my wedding was antique, romantic and simple," says Jenny. "I’ve had a lot of people tell me I’m kind of like a grandma in a young person's body. I couldn’t agree more." After visiting Clearwater Beach, Florida, for years, Jenny and Ricky easily chose it as their wedding location. The couple had a romantic beach ceremony lined with hanging arrangements of pink lisianthus and baby's breath in glass bottles. They exchanged vows under a unique bamboo wedding arch draped with pink and white fabric and accented with two pink and white floral arrangements at each post. Their 100 guests then moved across the sand to the Hilton Clearwater Beach. The natural beach atmosphere was brought into the patio reception as each family-style table was met with neutral linens, antique gold forks, DIY thank you notes, rustic wooden table numbers as well as pink lavender, pink delphiniums and pink roses in clear glass bottles collected by the bride. "We tried to make all of our details as personal as possible, right down to the music," says Jenny. "We picked out just about all of the songs." The couple treated their guests to a two-tier white ruffle wedding cake before they ended the night on the dance floor, and took a few steps to the tune of Frank Sinatra.
