An Rustic DIY Vineyard Wedding at Becker Farms & Vizcarra Vineyards in Buffalo, New York

Kate Earnhart (27 and a secondary math teacher) and Dan Reynolds (27 and a forensic accountant and consultant) began dating in October 2003 when they were in high school. They dated for four years, three of which were spent long-distance dating as they attended different colleges. After college, they lived in different cities but always made time to see each other during holidays and time spent at home. Eventually, they realized they were meant to be together, and Dan decided to propose on July 5, 2013. Dan took Kate to the state park on Lake Ontario where they spent time together during their first years of dating. After a romantic picnic, he got down on one knee. Despite the weather being less than cooperative, minutes after the proposal, there was a rainbow. Knowing how much they would love to have their wedding at a winery, they didn't imagine how beautiful the grounds of Becker Farms & Vizcarra Vineyards turned out to be. Add on the facts that it was also a brewery and that they could have a campfire at the end of the night, and Kate and Dan were sold. With a simple color scheme of plum and sage, Kate had creative liberty to recruit her mother and friends to make their wedding a DIY event. Through the handmade invitations, programs, reception decor, and every detail in between, Kate and Dan's wedding was spectacular. "Looking back on our wedding day, it was truly perfect. I didn't expect that I would be able to say that nothing went wrong," says Kate.
