An Romantic, Bohemian Wedding in Camp Lucy in Dripping Springs, Texas
With a touch of vintage Victorian romance, Tara Lacy (24 and a bid coordinator and artist) and August Budde’s (25 and a computer programming student) handmade celebration had a modern, floral flair.
“As an artist, I had my heart set on personally designing everything I could, from the save-the-dates to cocktail napkins and table arrangements,” Tara says. “I wanted it to all be custom from my imagination.”
Tara’s gown was custom-made for her and featured low-cut lace in the front and back.
The couple exchanged vows under a towering oak tree that’s over 200 years old.
“I wanted him to have a vintage look with a modern twist,” Tara says of her groom’s outfit. She designed his suit as well as his cuff links, which featured lyrics from their song.
Tara designed a honeycomb dessert stand and backdrop for the reception.
Guests were invited to rest their feet in an alfresco lounge area in the venue’s lush courtyard. Throw pillows scattered across mismatched blue furniture created a comfortable space for conversation. “Blue was the day’s main color, because it’s our very favorite,” Tara says.
The couple had their first dance to a Keri Nicole cover of “Warm on a Cold Night.”
