Dana was just about to give up on dating website JDate.com when she came across the profile of Bayla. She decided to contact him, and that very night, they two spent seven hours (yes, seven!) talking on the phone. She was living in New Jersey and he was in Florida at the time, so she got on a plane to go meet him in person. “As soon as I opened the car door, I knew I had met the man I was going to marry!” says Dana. The Bride Dana Jacober, 29, in sales The Groom Bayla Kaye, 39, also in sales The Date September 20 Bayla proposed the following year while the couple was with Dana’s family in Aspen. As they all sat around a fire making s’mores, Bayla pulled a ring box from his pocket.

Brown card stock was printed with lyrics to the couple’s three ceremony songs -- Journey’s “Faithfully,” Lionel Richie’s “My Love” and Phil Collins’ “A Groovy Kind of Love.”
The couple liked to think of their wedding style as a contemporary take on A Midsummer Night’s Dream. A white-and-cream color palette with brown and fuchsia accents completed their look.
Dozens of cupcakes were displayed on a wooden tower for a natural vibe.
Servers passed fruity martinis inspired by the couple’s color palette.
Small, wooden vases filled with green hydrangeas, white berries and fuchsia roses spruced up high-top tables on the lawn outside the reception tent.
Modern couches with brown accent pillows created a lounge atmosphere around the dance floor.
Orchid Centerpieces
After Dana’s mother walked her down the aisle, the couple exchanged vows beneath a huppah decorated with vines, berries, and orchids.
Painted lanterns surrounded by orchids topped each table. A dappled lighting design added texture to the space.
Wedding Macarons
Guests nibbled on macarons in the couple’s wedding colors in addition to cookies, fondue, and candies set up at an elaborate dessert table.
The groomsmen’s tuxedos matched the formal feel of the bridesmaids’ floor-length, chiffon gowns.
Small jars with stickers that read “A Sweet Beginning” waited to be filled with treats from a candy bar.
First Dance
A small cake decorated with vines and butterflies -- a theme used in Dana’s bouquet -- was on hand for the cake cutting. Guests helped themselves to a variety of flavored cupcakes.
