Canvas canopies on the terrace of the Avia Hotel came in handy during a brief rain shower. The rain stopped just in time for Catie to walk down the aisle lined with vibrant orange petals.
The cocktail tables held small, square vases filled with an exotic arrangement of orange roses, tricillium, hypericum berries, and safari sunset.
Striking flame calla lilies were styled organically with twigs and berries.
Outdoor Wedding Setting
Catie brought her green and orange wedding palette together with a modern bouquet of elegant cymbidium orchids, calla lilies, and rich green succulents.
The couple showed out-of-town guests their appreciation with goodie packages made up of homemade treats and Savannah favorites, like Frisbees -- a popular thing to toss around in Forsyth Park. “They were a huge hit,” says the bride.
The bride and groom cut into a three-tiered square cake with their signature green, rose ribbon wrapped around each tier. The groom’s cake was a mouthwatering stack of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts in the shape of a cake.
Catie’s maid of honor matched her citrus-colored dress with a lush bouquet of orange roses, green berries, scabiosa pods, and green tricillium.
Catie and J.D. personalized their big day down to the little details, handing out apple green napkins with their names and wedding date printed on them.
