The reception took place in three rooms at the estate. Round tables were set up in the charming, window-lined portico.
Swiss dots and black-grosgrain ribbon decorated the round cake for a clean, modern look, while hot pink peonies added some color.
Low glass urns filled with white and green peonies, astilbe, lady’s mantle and garden roses topped the tables.
To symbolize the joining of their two families, Katie and Mike planted a tree together as part of the ceremony.
With its elegant white columns, Wheatleigh’s outdoor patio needed little extra decoration—some draped white fabric made it wedding-ready.
Katie and Mike agreed on “Make You Feel My Love” by Bob Dylan for their first dance.
Katie and Mike both wanted to wed in the Berkshires and had fallen in love with Wheatleigh before they even got engaged.
To bring the garden vibe into the dining room, the escort cards hung from tree branches.
A fiddlehead fern added a whimsical touch to Mike’s classic white scabiosa boutonniere.
Katie carried a textured bunch of white peonies and ranunculus, while her maids of honor held bright and pale pink peonies mixed with fiddlehead ferns.
Katie chose champagne colored Stuart Weitzman sling backs with a bow at the peep toe.
For a clean, polished look, Katie wore her hair pulled back in a chignon with a Swarovski-embellished fabric flower.
White and Pink Bouquet
The couple named their dinner tables after the streets they’ve lived on.
The bridesmaids were dressed in short, strapless blue dresses, while the maids of honor wore the same color in a more formal floor-length style.
