Back in 2006, mutual friends of Maria and Henrique set them up on a blind date at the beach. While the two fell for each other quickly, Maria worried that Henrique might be too young for her. Henrique wasn’t concerned, and he asked Maria out again a day later. They dated for the next two-and-a-half years. With Henrique in law school, the timing wasn’t perfect, but Maria knew that if they were meant to be, everything would work out. And it did! The Bride Maria Goldman, 33, a pediatric psychologist The Groom Henrique Geigel, 30, an attorney The Date May 8 The night before a friend’s wedding, Henrique told Maria he had a piece of jewelry for her that would look perfect with her dress; then, much to Maria’s surprise, Henrique pulled out an engagement ring.

Potted Daisy Centerpieces
The length made Maria’s gown formal enough for the church ceremony, but the lighthearted design was casual enough for the restaurant reception.
The three-tiered cake was covered in white fondant. Sugar daisies dotted the outside and fresh ones spruced up the top and base to play up the theme.
White baskets filled with daisies topped the banquet tables.
Two arrangements of daisies, lilies, chamomile, and lemon leaves were all the dressing up that the church with stained-glass windows needed.
White Table Cards
Guests’ names were calligraphed on simple envelopes, but slanted text gave the font a less formal feel.
For their low-key celebration, Maria and Henrique opted for a restaurant on the beach. The casual décor let the bride do what she’s always wanted: use daisies and various shades of yellow as the theme for her wedding.
Baby's Breath Boutonniere
Maria decided on an airy bouquet of baby’s breath. A special rosary from her mom was wrapped around the stems.
