The Bride Megan Laggis, 28, event coordinator and owner of bluebird planning + events The Groom Jason Brown, 34, consulting senior manager at Accenture The Date October 23 Megan and Jason were married in an autumn wedding outside the bride’s family home. They incorporated natural elements like moss and burlap in their décor, chose bold green as their primary color and accented it with muted, natural colors like brown.

Jason wore a plum calla lily and a white cabbage rose boutonniere with the stems wrapped in burlap.
Megan printed her programs and reserved cards on cream-colored paper. She punched a hole in the corner of each one and hung them from the guest chairs.
The couple found an antique window and purple and green stained glass panels, perfect for displaying the reception dinner menu.
“Mr.” and “Mrs.” were burned into small slices of trunk and hung with green ribbon from the couples’ reception chairs.
A sign reading “There’s no place like home,” welcomed guests to the bride’s family home—a nod to one of her favorite childhood movies.
Guests signed small green leaves that were affixed to a framed graphic of a tree. The beautiful keepsake now hangs in the couple’s home.
Friends and family helped assemble the shepherd’s hook aisle markers with vintage jars filled with hydrangeas and hypericum berries.
For a moonlit reception they strung lights and colorful lanterns around the reception space and covered the tables in chocolate linens.
Single stems of bells of Ireland, dried berries, orange freesia or bear grass sprouted from wine bottles on each table.
Megan and Jason exchanged vows in the front yard beneath an arch made with curly willow, dried leaves, fresh greenery and flowers.
