Even though Liz and Dan both went to Boston College, they didn’t meet until the summer after Dan graduated. They were working in Cape Cod and had gone out one night with mutual friends. That’s when the two hit it off. They spent the rest of their days off from their jobs on the Cape going to the beach and taking day trips. The Bride Liz Stender, 24, college admissions counselor The Groom Dan Cheron, 26, graduate student The Date May 23 Four years later, Dan was ready to propose and decided Nantucket would be the perfect place. Despite bad weather, he convinced Liz to bike to the beach. After they hopped off their bikes, Dan pretended to take a photo of Liz before pulling a ring box out of his camera bag. “I spent the rest of the bike ride staring at my new bling!” says Liz.

The DJ played Dean Martin’s “Ain’t That a Kick in the Head.” Afterward, Liz and her dad and Dan and his mom danced to James Taylor’s “Sweet Baby James.”
Urns filled with hydrangeas, bells of Ireland, and roses marked the front of the aisle and matched the colors of the wedding bouquets.
Calla Lilly Boutonniere
Brightly colored roses, hydrangeas, calla lilies, and cymbidium orchids gave Liz’s bouquet an upbeat vibe.
All of the stationery showed off the couple’s vibrant color palette and included a swirling floral design.
Pomanders with pink hydrangeas and green mums hung from the backs of chairs along the aisle to add pops of color to the scene.
