An Outdoor, Elegant Wedding at Pinecroft at Crosley Estate in Cincinnati, Ohio

Kendra Hornschemeier (32, a teacher at Sycamore High School) and Mark Lonneman (32, an insurance underwriter at Great American Insurance) were introduced through a mutual friend who Kendra worked with and Mark knew from high school. They met at a bar on the first date, a second soon followed afterwards and, before they knew it, they were steadily dating. Mark booked a suite at The Cincinnatian one weekend, where there was champagne, cookies and cupcakes awaiting Kendra’s arrival. For Christmas that year, Mark suggested they start a tradition to exchange ornaments as one of their gifts. So when Kendra opened up Mark’s ornament in the hotel suite, she was overwhelmed with joy when she read, “Kendra, Will You Marry Me?” The couple had their wedding at Pinecroft at Crosley Estate, where the history, elegance and charm of the mansion won them over. The couple had an elegant wedding with rustic and vintage detail in shades of silver, pink and ivory. The ceremony took place in the outdoor orchard at the venue, where Kendra and Mark got married on the steps overlooking the mansion and landscape of the grounds. Guests were then moved inside the mansion for the reception, where arranged centerpieces of white and green hydrangeas, a variety of roses and scabiosa pods accented with queen anne’s lace, pink stock and greens decorated the elegant space. Runners in hues of taupe and cream covered the tables, and numbers were pictures of places where the couple had their first dates (with their bulldog Norman added in, of course!)
