An Outdoor Boho Wedding at Kuhs Estate & Farm in St. Louis, Missouri
Eric Scroggins (36 and works in education reform) and Ryan Rawlings (36 and works in finance) quickly settled on the site of their September nuptials: a 150-acre estate overlooking the confluence of the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers. “The potential of the space was apparent,” Eric says of touring Kuhs Estate and Farm during the holiday season. “The symbolism of the confluence of the rivers on which we grew up was too much of a sign to pass up.” Dressed in matching chambray tuxedos, the pair planned a “bohemian woodsy” wedding inspired by Northern California, where they first met. Two friends dressed in drag kept the energy high during cocktail hour, and guests refueled with slices of Imo’s Pizza once the party was well underway. Memorable menu items included oysters and champagne, cheese from California’s Cowgirl Creamery and passed tapas from the couple’s favorite San Francisco restaurants. Seven different cakes made the cut too, ranging in flavors from German chocolate to tart lemon.
