An Outdoor Bohemian Wedding at Rockmill Brewery in Lancaster, Ohio
Allie Angerer (24 and a marketing manager) and Nick Buck (25 and a logistics manager) met through a ministry program at Ohio State University. The pair was immediately smitten with the scenic grounds of a former horse farm outside of Columbus. “It was exactly what I had imagined, with all the trees and its woodsy feel,” Allie says. With the forest as their backdrop, the couple selected soft blooms, hanging plants and cantina lights to enhance the property’s natural beauty. They said “I do” in front of an intricate, bohemian-inspired macramé curtain adorned with greenery. “It’s now hanging above our bed,” Allie says. The bride stayed true to her simple style with a tulle gown and lace topper, while the groom kept cool in a lightweight gray suit paired with a floral tie. The bride’s friend and her wedding planner combined their calligraphy and watercolor talents to create a full suite of custom stationery. Instead of a traditional head table, Allie and Nick sat together with their immediate family during dinner. Neutral floral arrangements in brass vases kept the table décor light, while black candles added a hint of drama to the whitewashed tables. “I couldn’t get married without serving tacos,” Allie says of treating guests to a make-your-own taco bar. In keeping with the Mexican-inspired menu, guests enjoyed margaritas and churros with their choice of chocolate or caramel dipping sauces.
