Juliet Trivine, a human resources manager, 31, and Johnny Wilkes, a train conductor, 32, On their second date, Juliet and Johnny spent seven hours talking and telling stories on New Smyrna Beach. Johnny proposed about a year later in the same location and said he wanted to spend the rest of his life with his best friend, says Juliet. They were wed a year later in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. “While we didn't have a theme or style in mind when we started the planning process, I wanted the wedding to be beautiful and memorable,” says Juliet. The couple decorated their wedding with ornate pink and gold details. Both Juliet and Johnny intentionally woke up to the song "Best Day of My Life" by American Authors and had a private first look the morning of their wedding. The ceremony was decorated with an elaborate monogram “W” made of pink garden roses placed on the entrance gate as well as floral pomanders lining the aisle. A string quartet played music from covers of Daft Punk, John Legend, Calvin Harris and Lady Gaga during the ceremony, says Juliet. Music from the 1990s was also played during the cocktail hour. “From the Goo Goo Dolls to Matchbox 20 and beyond, our friends couldn't stop complimenting us on how great it was to reminisce on classic hits from our era,” says Juliet. The couple and their guests enjoyed a sit-down dinner with various options and a colorful rosette decorated four-tier wedding cake and dessert buffet during the reception.
