An Organic Yellow and Blue Fall Wedding at Vail Cascade Resort & Spa in Vail, Colorado
Gorgeous shades of yellow and blue filled Kimberly Kincaid (31 and a physical therapist) and Charles Roach’s (31 and works in advertising) fall wedding at Vail Cascade Resort in Vail, Colorado. “I’ve always wanted an outdoor wedding in the fall (my favorite season!),” Kimberly says. “The outdoor backdrop of the Cascade deck was absolutely breathtaking—especially in October with the golden Aspen leaves fluttering and falling all around us as the mountain creek rushed by ahead of us.” The couple also loved the kind, helpful staff that made them feel right at home (even with their Southern hospitality standards from their Georgia roots!). Wanting their wedding to be ultra-local, they used mostly Colorado-based wedding professionals, including Kimberly’s dress designer! She bought her simple, classic strapless A-line dress from Something New Boutique in Colorado Springs that was designed by the store owner. “Though already in love with the dress, I was completely sold on it when told that some of the proceeds of that particular dress purchase would go toward battling sex trafficking, which is a cause dear to both Charles and myself along with the boutique owner,” Kimberly says. The couple used a royal blue and canary yellow color palette to play off the natural fall mountain colors, and worked with Vintage Magnolia to add wildflowers throughout. At the end of the night, the couple enjoyed a delicious Aspen tree-inspired wedding cake from Whole Foods and danced to A Great Time DJ. “We hired one of the most popular, hands-down recommended DJs in the Vail area,” Kimberly says. “They blew our expectations out of the water, kept things tasteful, and had even our parents on the dance floor all night!”
