Alexis Stacy (26 and a process engineer) and John Leonhardt (28 and a special education teacher) implemented a vintage-romantic theme, with gold accents, rose gold dresses and forest green tablecloths, calling on the groom’s outdoorsy nature. Following a touching alfresco ceremony conducted by the bride’s grandfather, guests were treated to an elegant evening with down-home charm. Barbecue was served family style—“You bet we served it on china,” the bride says—and dessert took the form of three bridal cakes on a tree-inspired stand. Invitations were printed on a thin piece of wood and finished with a custom gold wax seal. The couple decided on their first dance song, “Yours and Mine” by Kyle Park, six years before their wedding day. After a twinkling send-off from friends holding 36-inch sparklers, the pair threw an after-party with what the bride calls “pizza galore” that lasted until 6 a.m.
