Alison Schugart (25) and Pierce McGrath (25 and an engineer) envisioned an organic fall fete for their Houston, Texas, wedding. As soon as they saw the Gallery, they booked the venue on the spot. “Part of why I loved the Gallery so much was because of the surrounding massive oak trees and the ivy on the brick walls,” Alison says. “It created a very natural landscape for the wedding right in the middle of the city.” Wedding planner Lauren Carrillo from Something to Celebrate put Alison and Pierce at ease throughout the planning process and helped them pull off an organic, fall-inspired theme with hues of orange, neutrals, greens and a splash of gold. The ceremony took place on the large, outdoor patio, where guests surrounded a floral-topped fountain to witness Alison and Pierce say “I do” underneath a vibrant floral wedding arch, created by SCF Events. While guests enjoyed a cocktail hour on the second floor of the venue, the courtyard transformed into an alfresco dinner and reception setup, where Behind the Bash provided Texas treats such as Shiner Bock beer-battered asparagus and a Texas taco bar. For entertainment, Alison and Pierce didn’t have a band or a DJ. They had both! The Hit-N-Run Band and DJ Jonny Black Productions mixed up the evening with music that catered to Alison and Pierce’s guests. Sharon Nicole Photography was on hand to capture the day. See the details, below.

Orange orchids are Alison's favorite flower, so her florist, SCF Events, highlighted these in her fall-inspired bouquet. The arrangement also had orange hypericum berries, eucalyptus and ivy.
Alison's bridesmaids all wore beautiful neutral, cocktail-length dresses with neutral shoes. "I wanted them all to wear something that made them feel good and that they would wear again," Alison says.
SCF Events covered this wooden wedding arch in vibrant orange flowers and greenery for a wow-worthy display. It had flame callas, pincushion proteas, orchids, dahlias, chrysanthemums and little orange fruits with eucalyptus and greens.
Pierce and his groomsmen all wore light gray suits with matching orange and white bow ties. The ring bearer wore khaki pants with a blue shirt, a gray vest, a purple bow tie and a fedora.
The ring bearer carried a wooden box down the aisle that Alison stained herself. As a personal touch, she added her and Pierce's initials onto an orange heart to tie into their wedding colors.
The ceremony program was a custom chalkboard created by Katie & Co. It had whimsical ombre calligraphy fading from pink (Alison's side) to white (Pierce's side).
Overflowing greens and orange flowers in a natural, wildflower-inspired arrangement topped the fountain in the center of Alison and Pierce's courtyard ceremony setup at the Gallery in Houston, Texas.
Pew markers of wild greens and orange florals tied with champagne ribbon marked the courtyard ceremony aisle. The flowers included vibrant orange dahlias, carnations and pincushion proteas with seeded eucalyptus.
Alison's sister and cousin teamed up with the Hit-N-Run Band to perform Christina Perri's "One Thousand Years" as Alison entered the ceremony. She and Pierce recessed to an instrumental version of the Temptations' "My Girl."
Alison and Pierce's neutral wedding party attire allowed for the Gallery's organic beauty and the bright orange and green floral arrangements to stand out.
Vibrant orange flowers such as marigolds and orchids in natural birch-wood vases, surrounded by gold votives, added to the organic atmosphere at Alison and Pierce's alfresco courtyard reception at the Gallery in Houston, Texas.
At the reception, round dining tables with khaki or burlap linens and textured champagne overlays were surrounded by mahogany chiavari chairs. Centerpieces of natural greenery and orange blooms in dark wooden boxes, surrounded by gold pillar candles and potted succulents, enhanced the organic atmosphere.
Alison and Pierce's sweetheart table stood out from the rest. The square table had a textured champagne overlay with a pair of mahogany chiavari chairs. Gold votives lined the edge of the table, topped with a wild arrangement of orange blooms and greens.
The wedding cake table was the reception's focal point. Each tier had a different design, with a geometric metallic gold center tier, that included textured details and orange orchids for a colorful pop. A gold "Mr. & Mrs." topper completed the chic style.
Alison and Piece made their grand exit from the Gallery through a tunnel of sparklers before hopping into a vintage getaway car.
