An Old World Romantic Wedding at The Jacuzzi Family Vineyards in Sonoma, California
Terri Eller (27 and an R&D scientist) and Michael Hershkowitz (30 and a chemical engineer) met online and both arrived late to their first date after being distracted by the same NPR story. They spent the night making lists of all the things they wanted to talk about and talked the entire next day and every day since then. The two planned a trip to Europe which Michael spent hiding the engagement ring in his pocket. After almost being ousted by metal detectors at Buckingham Palace, he managed to keep his proposal a surprise until the end of their trip when they made it to Paris. Terri and Michael planned their wedding for March and found the outdoor and indoor space they were looking for at Jacuzzi. Their ceremony was held in the luscious outdoor space of the Jacuzzi Family Vineyards where they greeted one another at an emerald green and ivory draped arch. The reception was held indoors in The Barrel Room which created an environment of old world charm with paintings hung on the wall near stacked wine barrels. The elegant decor was accentuated by emerald green and gold accents throughout the tables which were named after locations where the bride and groom had created memories with friends. The grooms rugby friends sat at a table named after a bar in their college town and the bridesmaids were seated at a table named after a brewery where they had spent spring break together. The buffet style dinner included little pieces of home for Terri and Michael with pulled pork to represent her upbringing in North Carolina and fresh avocado appetizers for their life together in California. The bride and groom brew their own beer so they gave guests personalized pint glasses painted with their custom designed crest which had first been seen on the invitations. It was a great way for them to give a personal thank you and tie-in every piece of their wedding.
