An Oceanside Wedding at Hillsboro Club in Hillsboro Beach, Florida
With the Atlantic Ocean as their backdrop, Jessica Sheriff (28 and an associate director of marketing) and Steven Kobrin (27 and a financial adviser) exchanged vows in a traditional Jewish ceremony surrounded by family and friends. “The ceremony was probably the best part of our wedding,” Jessica says. It included the breaking of the glass and reciting the seven blessings. “We wanted our wedding to be an entire weekend experience instead of just one night,” the bride says. “We love spending time with our family and friends, and we wanted to maximize our time together.” The Hillsboro Club was home base for the weekend, allowing the bride and groom to throw their Friday night welcome party, ceremony, reception, after-party and good-bye brunch at the venue. “Our guests never had to leave the premises, and there's no reason they would have wanted to. They were able to enjoy the beach, pool, golf course and restaurants in one location.” For decor, the couple brought their beach wedding to life with beautiful blooms, lanterns and a color scheme of blush, gold and white. They also incorporated hearts and arrows as design elements. “We wanted our reception to be a giant party with amazing food and plenty of time to dance,” Jessica says. Cocktail hour included rum runners, mini hot dogs, coconut shrimp and sushi boats. And for dinner, friends and family feasted on beef, chicken, grouper and veggies. The dance party got started with an epic hora. “Our family takes the hora very seriously, and it was the perfect way to kick off the celebration,” Jessica says. En route to the after-party, the couple gave guests chocolate beer mugs as an invite to the beachside kegger. “Our priority was making sure everyone felt included and having an unforgettable time,” the bride says. “It was a warm day, and we felt so incredibly loved.” —Marissa Hermanson
