An Ocean Themed Wedding at the B Ocean Resort in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Chelsea, an ad optimization specialist, 26, and James, a system engineer, 27, chose an ocean theme for their wedding to reflect their venue and a part of their relationship. "The ocean was significant to James and I because we had corresponded over an ocean as we got to know each other and because I personally feel closer to God when near the water," says Chelsea. The couple was more than an ocean away when they started talking on Match.com as James was deployed in Iraq with the Alabama Army National Guard. They were "Facebook Official" soon after James returned home, says Chelsea. Keeping with their ocean theme, the couple chose light blues, greens and beige tones for their wedding. Starfish and sand dollars were used as accents throughout the wedding. They could be found within the bridesmaids' and bridal bouquets, on the men's boutonnieres and covering the couple's wedding cake. Guests were also given seashell shaped chocolates made by Chelsea's grandmother. The couple held their ceremony and reception overlooking the ocean at the penthouse of the B Ocean Resort in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Surrounded by friends and family, Chelsea and James's reception included a memorable photo booth, homemade cookie station and multiple edible favors for their guests.
