An Ocean-Inspired Wedding at South Seas Island Resort in Captiva Island, Florida

Even though the rain forced Jana Hoffmeister (31 and a physician) and Dave Goldberg’s (33 and a physician) beachside affair inside South Seas Island Resort in Captiva Island, Florida, their decor made it feel like everyone was stepping into the ocean. Between the sea fan invitations, driftwood aisle markers and natural tablescapes, every part of their wedding had a coastal feel. Jana and Dave set the tone with custom watercolor invitations that resembled a sea fan floating on water. During the ceremony, their driftwood wedding arch became a makeshift aisle marker, bringing a piece of the shore to every row of white seating. But this was nothing compared with the tented reception. Their tablescapes brought the theme to new heights with fresh coral, sea fans, branches and shells that looked as if they floated onto the burlap runners. A range of various blues, whites and neutral hues tied everything together with a calming color scheme.
