An Ivory and Gold Wedding at The Golf Club at Newcastle in Newcastle, Washington

Jen Mennella (25, an accountant) and Spencer Mennella (27, in construction) were high school sweethearts, and eventually moved into their first apartment together located in South Lake Union, Washington. The couple went out for a nice dinner one evening, and came back to the apartment decorated in bouquets of flowers and lit candles. Rose petals led Jen to a table placed in the middle of the living room, where Spencer proposed with a diamond ring. The couple got married at the Golf Club at Newcastle in Newcastle, Washington perched on that overlooked Seattle, Bellevue, Lake Washington and the Puget sound. The ceremony took place in a white tent on the property, following the color palette of gold and ivory with rose petals and candlesticks with eucalyptus leaves decorating the aisle. Following the ceremony, the wedding was taken indoors to the ballroom for the elegant reception. “We were swept away by our photographer to get a few sunset pictures on the bluff while the bag piper played,” says Jen. “I glanced toward the ballroom and realized all of our guests had moved back out to the patio to take in the breathtaking sunset for themselves. It was magical to look up and see all of our guests enjoying themselves from afar.”
